About this place
The signature dish at Yokatta Cafe & Bar is the curry noodle bowl, or Keema Curry Miso Ramen. A miso-based soup laced with spiced keema curry forms the broth, topped with tomato, sweet corn, and a tender whole-stewed onion. Built on a dashi-forward foundation, the broth remains mild and accessible rather than fiery, coating the yellow egg noodles as they are lifted. Once the noodles are finished, adding a small portion of rice turns the remaining broth into a rich, risotto-like finale.
Beyond noodles, the menu features a Wagyu roast beef rice bowl. Moist, tender beef is drizzled with house sauce and crowned with a fresh egg yolk, making it a substantial, rewarding meal. Other Western-influenced dishes show similar attention to detail, including a baked curry doria combining spiced keema with browned cheese, as well as salads accompanied by cake sale, the French-style savoury baked loaf.
Set along a quiet street in Sumida Ward's Bunka district, the cafe offers an unhurried atmosphere that welcomes solo diners. Daytime visits feature lunch plate drink sets alongside coffee, while the evening transitions into bar service with beer, cocktails, and spirits. It serves equally well for an easy meal or an unhurried drink as the day winds down.
